Hiring process

The CIIB hiring process, which lasts up to six weeks, is a two-way journey. It’s an opportunity for you to discover who we are while we learn more about your skills, ambitions, and potential fit with our team.
1Application Review
Our HR team carefully reviews your CV. If your previous experience and skills meet the requirements of the position, you will be invited to the next step.
2Entry/Language Test
The test is conducted online at a scheduled time. It includes tasks that reflect real, day-to-day work activities. Test duration varies by role: 30 minutes for Customer Support positions, 60 minutes for PDE positions, up to 3 hours for SEO Copywriter/Product Content Writer roles. There may be additional testing depending on the position.
3HR Interview
If you successfully complete the test, the next step is an HR interview of about 45 minutes. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other better and see if the role is the right fit. You’ll also learn more about CIIB, the benefits we offer, and the details of the position you applied for.
4Final Interview
In the final interview, you’ll meet your potential manager and/or the client. It’s an opportunity to connect, discuss daily tasks and expectations in more detail, and ask any questions you may have before moving forward.
5References
If the final interview goes well, our HR team may request references from your previous employers. Depending on your work history, you may be asked to provide one or more references (in PDF, email, or verbal format). Ideally, these should come from a former supervisor, mentor, or colleague you worked closely with.
6Feedback & Decision
The last step is feedback. This may be a job offer (in which case it’s your turn to decide if we are the right fit for you), or we may inform you that we’ve chosen another candidate. Either way, you will receive a response.
Depending on the position, the steps may vary or appear in a different order, but these are the main stages you can expect during the selection process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are you a remote company?
Yes, we are a remote-first company. You can work from home, but you’re always welcome to visit our office.
What does the onboarding process look like?
Our onboarding is structured but friendly. You’ll get an introduction to our company culture, tools, and workflows, followed by hands-on training for your role. We also assign a mentor to support you during your first weeks.
How long does the hiring process take?
The process usually takes 2–6 weeks, depending on the role and availability of both candidates and interviewers.
Can I apply if I don’t meet all the requirements?
Yes. If you believe you’d be a good fit, we encourage you to apply. Some skills can be learned during training, and motivation often matters as much as experience.
What language level do I need?
Our roles require advanced language proficiency, since writing and communication are central to our work.
Will I get feedback if I’m not selected?
Yes, we make sure every candidate receives a response at the end of the process, whether it’s an offer or feedback.
